Artists: Hayden James, Bipolar Sunshine
Title: For The Girls
Label: broke Records
Release date: June 26, 2026
Award-winning Australian producer Hayden James returns with "For The Girls," a new single with platinum-selling singer-songwriter Bipolar Sunshine, out now via broke Records. It marks Hayden's second release on the label, following April's "One I Want." A minimalistic, dancefloor-focused tech-house track carried by Bipolar Sunshine's vocal, "For The Girls" pairs a lean, hook-driven groove with the kind of late-night energy made for peak-time floors. The record took shape across many different versions before it finally clicked at a studio session with Bipolar Sunshine and Chris Lorenzo - a process that left Hayden calling it one of the strongest reactions he has ever had to an unreleased track. The collaboration brings together two well-established names from across electronic and pop: Hayden, one of Australia's most successful electronic exports with over a billion streams to his name across three albums, and Bipolar Sunshine, whose work runs from a Grammy-winning co-write for Beyoncé and WizKid to a platinum single with DJ Snake.
"This record went through so many versions, but it all finally came together in a session with Bipolar Sunshine and Chris Lorenzo. I've never had a reaction to an unreleased record like I've had with 'For The Girls' - I'm really excited to put this one out." - Hayden James
Hayden James
Award-winning music producer Hayden James emerged as a quintessential sound of the summer with the release of "Something About You" in December 2014, igniting the dance music scene and earning Gold Certification in his homeland of Australia. Since then, his electronic-pop creations have captivated a global audience, amassing over a billion streams. October 2017 brought the triple-platinum hit "Numb" with GRAACE. Then in 2018, he cemented his breakout with "Better Together" (Platinum) and "Just Friends" (Double Platinum), paving the way to his eagerly anticipated debut album "Between Us" in June 2019, blending dance anthems and introspective tracks with collaborators like NAATIONS and Panama. Hayden proceeded to unveil a new live show at Splendour in the Grass, which kicked off his global tour and earned him an ARIA nomination for Best Male Artist. Following a run of 2021 releases, including "Foolproof" with Gorgon City and Nat Dunn, he released his sophomore album "Lifted" in April 2022, featuring talented collaborators like SIDEPIECE, Jem Cooke, Cassian, and Elderbrook, alongside his Coachella debut. In 2023, Hayden spent the year on the road with headline and festival dates across North America, Australia, and Europe, whilst still releasing stellar singles with Bob Moses, Saygrace, and AR/CO. In September, Future Classic released his third album "We Could Be Love," featuring Izzy Bizu, Shells, Karen Harding, Ross Quinn, and more to critical acclaim. Since then, Hayden has maintained momentum with tour dates worldwide and the curation of his own intimate pop-up "Just Friends" parties. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Hayden with multiple new singles and collaborations on the way. Whether he's on the road touring, in the studio working on new tracks, or playing massive sets at sunset on the beach, Hayden James continues to bring warmth, energy, and innovation to the electronic house music realm.
Bipolar Sunshine
The singer-songwriter Bipolar Sunshine is a remarkable builder of bridges: between the rarefied and the regular, the accessible and the experimental, the heartbreaking and the heartwarming. His music is not so much a transmission from some kind of musical deity as a give and take between himself and the universe, an exchange of emotion with the people around him. That spirit has carried through all Bipolar Sunshine's music thus far, from his platinum-selling DJ Snake collaboration "Middle" to his experience co-writing the Grammy-winning "Brown Skin Girl" by Beyoncé and WizKid. Marchant says his music will always be driven by two factors - realism and fun - no matter his musical partner. Now based in LA, though, Marchant is ready to define himself on his own terms. Amongst the grit and glitter of highway and coastline, Marchant has been able to see his past and future in a whole new light, the new reality of living in America reshaping how he thinks about his time in Manchester as well as his perspective on the human experience. At the heart of Marchant's music is his drive to better himself and better the world, which one can feel even in his name, Bipolar Sunshine - referring to his ability to channel the extreme highs and lows of the world, while always seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. He sums up this perspective best: "There are dark times, and there are dark moments," he says, "but it doesn't mean that, in-between, a rose can't rise from the concrete."
